With LÉONIE, the artist Les Têtes Dures imagines a graphic character composed of geometric shapes, bold colors and contrasting patterns. Inspired by geometric art, the Bauhaus and Cubism, this creation combines lines, volumes and flat areas of color to give rise to an expressive figure, on the border between sculpture, illustration and landscape. In the middle of this landscape, an eye appears, like a reassuring landmark. The elements of the face gradually blend into the architecture of the landscape, until it's hard to tell where the face ends and the landscape begins.

Made of wood with a solid oak frame, this square 63 × 63 cm wall panel fits elegantly into a living room, entryway, office or bedroom. With its 16 sliding pucks, Taquin turns LÉONIE into an evolving, interactive work. The elements move horizontally and vertically to change the shapes, colors and their relationships. Each manipulation lets you compose a new interpretation of the piece. The round orange puck, Taquin's signature, lets you temporarily lock in the chosen composition. This Taquin combines design, craftsmanship and tactile experience.

Who is the artist Les Têtes Dures?

Guillaume Besnard, aka Les Têtes Dures, is a French artist whose universe draws on geometric art, the Bauhaus and Cubism. He composes his characters from raw shapes, textures and materials, including wood, concrete and marble.
